Terms of use

The terms on which this website, registration, ticketing and payments are offered.

These terms govern the use of the Twende Green Planet website (twende.green) and the registration, ticketing and payment services offered through it. By using the website, registering for an event or making a payment, you accept these terms. They were last updated in October 2026.

1. About these services

The website is operated by Twende Green Planet. It provides information on its programmes, the Global NGO Stakeholders Summit and Blue Carbon Action 2026, and allows registration, ticket and package purchases, and contributions to restoration programmes.

2. Registration and accounts

Registration for Day 4 and Day 5 of Blue Carbon Action 2026 is complimentary. Day 3 (the dinner and NGO Summit Awards) is by ticket. The information provided at registration must be accurate. A guest account is opened on completion of a registration or payment; the holder is responsible for keeping the password confidential and for activity under the account. A badge is personal to the registrant named and may not be sold.

3. Prices and payment

Amounts are shown in US dollars, with the Kenya shilling equivalent in brackets. Payment is made in Kenya shillings, converted at the rate shown at checkout on the day of payment, except where a price is set in shillings, which is charged exactly as published. Payment may be made by M-Pesa (up to KES 250,000), by debit or credit card, or by bank transfer (RTGS). A booking is confirmed only when payment has been received and verified. For bank transfers, the payment reference issued at checkout must be quoted and proof of payment uploaded.

4. Seating, protocol and the programme

Seats and spaces are allocated in the order of confirmation. VVIP and other seating is subject to protocol and to the attendance of guests of honour. The organisers may adjust the programme, timing, venues and seating where circumstances, security, protocol or the weather require, and will notify registrants by e-mail where practicable.

5. Conduct at events

Attendees are expected to observe the instructions of the organisers, the venues and the security officers, and to respect other participants, the environment and the communities hosting the event. Admission may be refused or withdrawn where this is not observed.

6. Refunds and changes

Refunds, cancellations, name changes and upgrades are governed by the page on receipts, refunds and returns.

7. Contributions to programmes

Contributions are applied to the restoration programme for which they are made, as described on the page for that programme and in the page on how funds are used. Unless stated otherwise, a contribution does not confer ownership of any land, trees or carbon credits.

8. Intellectual property

All content on twende.green, including text, photography and programme materials, is the property of Twende Green Planet unless otherwise credited, and may not be reproduced for commercial use without written permission. The names and logos of partners are the property of their owners.

9. Use of the website

The website may not be used to interfere with its operation, to attempt unauthorised access, to submit false registrations or payments, or to collect data from it by automated means without permission.

10. Liability

We take care that the information on the website is accurate, but it is provided without warranty and may change. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from the use of the website, from interruptions to it, or from the acts of third-party payment providers. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Personal data

The use of personal data is described in the Privacy notice.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

13. Contact

Questions on these terms may be sent to info@twende.green.
